Hi, my name is Moriah! I am a recent graduate from Wellesley College and a native English speaker from Boston, MA, USA. I’m so excited to teach English on Verbling and help in expanding world boundaries through language learning! I’ve traveled to every continent except Antarctica, so I love to meet new people from around the world! I currently live in Brazil and have taught English here voluntarily to adults, local non-profits, and middle school students and to university students as a Fulbright scholar. I have experience teaching English at all levels including beginner, intermediate, basic intermediate, advanced intermediate and advanced. I also speak Brazilian Portuguese fluently and spent 6 years studying Japanese. I believe in interactive and student-centered classes where students and teachers hold roles as both learners and educators. My classes are centered on dialogue and conversation where we use language learning to engage with students’ interests and to discuss social, cultural and political topics relevant to our present lives. My goal is that my classes will always include games, music, movies, literature, art and much more!
I would love to support you on your English language journey! Please book a lesson with me today!
