Hello! My name is Heidi Walker. I am TESOL endorsed with 15 years teaching experience and a Master's Degree in teaching. I am currently living in the United States in the state of New Mexico. I have extensive experience teaching online and in the classroom with ELL and ESL learners of all ages, abilities, and from many cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Whether you are new to the English language, or an English speaker that needs to polish up your conversational skills, I am eager to help you meet your learning goals. I am prepared to adapt my teaching plan to your needs and your current level. Perhaps you need assistance passing an upcoming exam, or you are seeking employment and want to brush up on your business language skills. I will work with you to develop a learning plan that can help you succeed in those areas. I, myself, am a lifelong learner and I am passionate about communication and language. I believe that the most effective language progress and growth takes place when the student is engaged and interested in meaningful, real world lessons and dialogue.
It is important that you increase your confidence and speaking fluency. This can be accomplished by consistent, ongoing language instruction and exposure to a variety of conversational scenarios. Working with me, I will encourage you to challenge yourself, yet our time together in the online classroom will be fun and easygoing. I will adapt my lessons as you progress and you will gain the support you need to become a fluent English speaker with the skills needed to succeed.
