Sobre mim

Hi there! My name is Erica and I am excited to help you along your path of learning the English language. I am an experienced teacher that has been teaching English all around the world for about 7 years. I have taught ESL, prepared students for the TOEFL exam, and have worked with both young children and adults of all ages. I currently teach online to young students, and teach in person to students from Latin America.

Before you meet with me, I will send you a placement test to decide what level of English you have. Then, I will prepare a specialized plan based on your level and help you with English learning goals, whether you want to pass the TOEFL, or just starting on your English learning path. I focus on phonics, accents, grammar rules, and speaking/listening fluency - I use various techniques to engage my learners, because I understand that everyone learns very differently. I specialize in teaching writing, as it is my passion.

I am a writer and researcher with my Masters degree from Boston College, a renown university in the states. Originally from upstate New York, I have taught English in Kyrgyzstan, Guatemala, and currently living and teaching in Costa Rica. I know a bit of Spanish and Kyrgyz, and have worked with people that have a Russian accent.
