Hello! I am a certified bilingual professional with international experience and a passion for working with language learners. I have been a full-time dual language educator for 9 years. I started teaching English as a second language about 10 years ago, and have experience teaching and tutoring children ages 5 through 16, as well as adults. I find something special about each age. I am so proud of not only the linguistic skills that both my native English-speaking and native Spanish-speaking students have acquired, but also the positive cross-cultural attitudes and behaviors they have developed!

I work with students of all ages and levels. If you are a beginning English language learner, we will focus on key words and phrases, English phonology and orthography, and the basic grammatical structures that you will need most often for everyday conversation.

If you are very advanced, we can work on accent reduction, complex grammatical structures, and things such as idioms and different linguistic registers to use when speaking. This will really help you speak like a native! If you are preparing for a language exam or assessment, I can help you with that as well. Whatever your goals may be, I can come up with a custom lesson plan cycle for your specific needs.

During each lesson, a portion of the time will be dedicated to conversational skills, including listening and speaking. I also have a ton of materials to share with my students, such as books and passages, as well as practice exercises to improve grammar, reading comprehension, reading fluency, vocabulary, and spelling.

Although I am passionate about all aspects of teaching, I am especially passionate about language, and really enjoy working 1-on-1 with a student to maximize growth. I have recently begun teaching private language lessons online and I love it! It is amazing to see how much the students have progressed in such a short period of time! I can't wait to work with you!
