Hello! I’ve been teaching, training and tutoring as part of my professional life for over twenty years. It's what I enjoy and what I do best.
An undergraduate degree in Communication/Marketing, a Master’s Degree in Marketing, 150 hour TEFL certificate and a Toastmasters Certificate of Effective Communication.
Teaching English Experience:
ESL teacher in Spain for about a year,
Teaching grade school and high students ESL in Colombia for seven months, Being a technical lead and facilitator for an online ESL program (Cada Dia Ingles)
Tutoring English in person and online.
I have about 10 years developing technical training for professionals, executives and sales associates. I taught preschool professionally as well as a volunteer.
Native of the U.S.A.
I’m a native & citizen of the U.S., from the middle of the country (Missouri), where people come from all over to learn and practice our "broadcaster's accent". Our accent is very neutral.
My approach is fun and practical - learn what’s most important. What's important to you? It will be beneficial to you to have some clarity on your objectives as it will increase your satisfaction. Valid objectives can include "become more comfortable in conversation" and "increase competence in prepositions" as well as many other.
Sometimes an enjoyable approach is helpful: I've used music and song lyrics, fun activities, making up poems and tongue twisters and counting money as ways to teach English.
