I'm a native English speaker, born and raised in New York. I have lived in New York, London, Sussex in the UK, Surrey in the UK, Sydney and the Gold Coast in Australia and most recently in Las Vegas. I have travelled to China, Kazakhstan, Holland, Sweden, Denmark and Greece. I home educated my 2 daughters from the ages of 4 and 3 until they entered university at 16.
I have a Bachelor's degree in biology and a TEFL certificate.
My teaching style is adaptive, in that I take my lead from my student. Children have different needs from teenagers or adults, beginners need much more encouragement and stimulation than advanced learners. My approach to language learning is a holistic one, as is my philosophy on life in general. Learning a language is much more complex than simply memorising grammar rules and vocabulary; it involves conversation practice, listening skills, constant practice and a fun and interactive method to learning new concepts. I strive to make my lessons fun while still giving my students a comprehensive knowledge of my language.
