Sobre mim

Hi! My name is Kathy and I am an English teacher from the USA. I have a Masters Degree from Oregon State University. I have traveled to 38 countries, and have taught 25 years in the USA, Africa: Zambia and Malawi, South Korea, and Dominican Republic. I love traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different backgrounds and cultures. I have taught English online the past year, and have enjoyed the more individualized learning environment and also helping students prepare for their TOEFL and IELTS exams. I especially enjoy teaching conversational English, beause speaking a language is the most important aspect of learning a language. All my classes, including the grammar ones, include English dialogue and discussions. I am easygoing and have lots of energy, and so my classes are fun and interesting with the goal of meeting the student's needs. In 2008, I went back to University and became a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters Degree from Grand Canyon Univeristy. This has helped me to be able to evaluate a student's abilities and help them reach their language goals more effectively. I look forward to meeting you and helping you become fluent in English.
