Sobre mim

Hello! My name is Charlie and it would be wonderful to meet new students from all over the world. I earned two bachelors degrees(History & Psychology) in 2013, my CELTA teaching certificate in 2015, and gained teaching experience as an ESL teacher and tutor in Vietnam from May of 2017 to August of 2019. I recently moved to Albania to appreciate the melting pot of culture here and the absolutely beautiful scenery. The best part of being an ESL teacher/tutor, aside from meeting amazing and interesting people, is watching my students gain confidence in their speaking abilities. To start with a shy student unsure of their ability to speak English and see them come to enjoy my class and express themselves clearly is more emotionally rewarding than any other job. I feel it's important to practice a second language using topics the students relate to in order to keep the lesson interesting. I also love sharing my knowledge of American culture with my students. Being able to recommend films, music, cartoons, books, TV shows, or giving advice on travel or studying abroad is a wonderful way to engage with people and expose them to new ideas. I look forward to spending time with you to develop your English abilities and getting to know you as a person. Thank you and have a lovely day!
