Hello, everyone. If you want to study Russian language or want to practice it, you are welcome. I teach the Russian language from the very beginning - elementary (A1) - to higher levels. During my lessons I'm trying to reach the best balance between grammar, conversation and other aspects of the language. Unlike many other tutors, I minimised the so-called "verbal outrunning" - to practice new grammar you won't get exercises and texts with too many new words and structures that you don't understand yet. My own studying materials are well-balanced. I won't let you forget about things that we studied months ago, we will keep using previous grammar topics with new ones, words that you learnt before in new topics. New knowledge won't replace the old one. My goal is to help you understand the system of the Russian language, so that you were not limited by phrases that you learn during the lesson, but could make your own sentences, express your thoughts. I practice different ways of making you speak - retelling texts from different perspectives, offering imaginary situaions, asking you many questions to help you understand what you hear and be able to react. To study grammar and new words, we'll be using my textbook (I will send you the pdf file) that contains examples and exercises I collected and created myself. We will pay enough attention to grammar, pronunciation, reading and speaking. I will explain you the way we, Russians, talk in our everyday life, because our foundations and manners differ from foreign ones. I'm 34 and I live in Saint-Petersburg, Russian Federation. I've graduated from the University of Architecture and Construction in 2004, but later I took the course "Methods of teaching Russian as foreign language" at the International Centre of Russian language and got a certificate. I'll be happy to help you learn the Russian language. Feel free to contact me and ask any questions. P.S. If you want to book lessons, please, don't book a lesson right after or before another student's lesson, if possible, because usually I need some time to finish the previous lesson and prepare for the next one (just leave a 30 minutes gap). Thanks.

Hello everyone! My name is Anita, I'm a teacher of Russian language for foreign students. As well as that I'm a qualified teacher of English and Spanish, but I concentrate mainly on teaching Russian language as I find it immensely interesting, fascinating and rewarding. At my lessons even with begginers I try to use as much Russian words and phrases as possible, so one day without even noticing it you will be able to understand everything I say. That very day we will throw a big language party and revise the case system of Russian language so to bring you down to earth a little bit ;) Concerning my methods, first of all it depends on your level of the language and the purpose of your learning, your interests and your age. The most important thing for me is to tailor my lessons in such a way that you will enjoy every second of it. Contact me, book a trial lesson and we will discuss the details of your Russian language learning process. Hope to meet you soon!

Hello! My name is Liubov but usually my friends and students call me Liuba. I’m a Russian native speaker. THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE THE FIRST LESSON I need some information about your Russian learning experience to prepare a lesson in a proper and efficient way. If you are not a complete beginner and have some knowledge of the language, I offer you to do the level test for determining your level of proficiency. This test covers a lot of grammar topics, related to different levels, and it is intended as a guide only. It gives an idea of your proficiency in grammar, but does not take into account your abilities as a speaker. Usually I interview the student during the first lesson to get to know each other and to understand for what purpose he/she studies Russian. In this way I can assess the student’s speaking skills. With regard to your writing skills, you can send me a composition “About myself”. If you have some preferences in relation to a grammar or conversational topic or both of them for our first lesson, let me know. MY BACKGROUND I was born in 1989. My hometown is Krasnodar. Foreign languages are an integral part of my life. I have been teaching for 4 years. In Russia I worked as an English teacher. In Italy I started teaching Russian as a foreign language. As a Russian language teacher I worked at different language centers and at a private university in Pisa. Recently I have passed a competitive examination for a position of Russian language teacher at Pisa University and entered into a rank list of candidates. Apart from teaching I work as a translator and interpreter from English and Italian to Russian and viceversa for different state organizations and firms. TEACHING APPROACH As a teacher, i have worked in multiple forms: pairs, small groups, large groups. I have taught people with different language levels - from beginners to advanced students. As a devoted teacher , first of all I’m interested in the progress of my students. Lessons on Verbling site give both teacher and students an opportunity to be autonomous and creative. Unfortunately, it is not always possible in educational organizations. That’s why I always try to prepare lessons to correspond to learning objectives of students. I adhere to a communicative approach because the capacity to survive and to solve problems by applying the foreign language is more important than perfect knowledge of grammar even though I don’t underestimate its significance in a foreign language course. I give attention to all four communication skills (speaking, writing, listening, reading) during my lessons. All of them are very important but i can introduce them in unequal proportion, taking in consideration the learning style of students and their goals. Foreign language is a cultural phenomenon and I find it very important to incorporate information about culture, traditions, as well as the communicative behavior of the people living in the country whose language student is studying . ITALIANO INFORMAZIONI PERSONALI Ciao a tutti!

I’m 52 now in the year of 2016 and that usually implies quite big life experience and level of wisdom. I hope very much that this corresponds with me. I have about 6-year experience of teaching Russian to foreigners via English online. 2 years ago I was certified as a teacher of Russian by Moscow State University. I can tailor lessons perfectly to your personal needs. I was born and brought up in the Southern Kazakhstan, graduated from a pedagogical university as a teacher of History and English and lived for 20 years in Bashkortostan (central Russia, the Urals). Now I’m living in the city called Volzhskiy, next to Volgograd. This is my life geography. I have never lived out of Russian language environment which is a matter of fact but not a one of being proud of. I appreciate good sense of humor in people. I love thinking and talking about life in general and in detail.
