Hello Friend! I hope you're having a great day! My name is Brent and I am from Santa Rosa, California. My hometown is in the California wine country, a beautiful place with outstanding weather. I have lived in Japan for thirteen years. I lived in Osaka for one year and then moved to Tokyo. I came to Japan because I am a poet and I love haiku. Japan is a wonderful country that has changed me in many positive ways. And the sushi...wow. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Poetry with a Minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. My interests include haiku, hiking, comedy, studying Japanese, reading, food, traveling, baseball, and music. I am a very curious person and I enjoy learning about others' hobbies and interests. As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges involved with learning languages, which helps me address student concerns and needs in a constructive way. I teach all kinds of English, including general conversation, business English, TOEIC, TOEFL, Eiken, and kids lessons. I teach a wide range of ages, from two months old to eighty years old. Let me customize English lessons for you. We can use any books, newspapers, movies, songs, or other learning materials you like. I can also create original materials just for you! I love my students' English. There is no bad English. No one has bad English. If you can say "Hello.", that's great. If you can say "Nice to meet you.", that's great. The key is to own your English because it's yours! It's all about enjoying studying and getting better every day. One of my favorite haiku poets is Kobayashi Issa and this is one of his best poems. 蝸牛そろそろ登れ富士の山
Katatsumuri sorosoro nobore Fuji no yama Climb Mount Fuji, O snail, but slowly, slowly. This haiku has many meanings but one of my favorites is that Issa is telling even a snail, which is very slow, to slow down and enjoy climbing Fuji. It's the same with learning. Learning a language is like climbing Mt. Fuji. It's challenging and it takes time. Of course we want to improve every day but we have to make sure we look around and really enjoy the beautiful scenery, we should enjoy the new language we learn. Being a poet, I like to share my love of language with students so that they can experience more fully the joys of studying English. I am a people person and I use humor and a student-oriented approach to create a fun, comfortable learning environment. Your goals are my goals. I hope to meet you soon!

My name is Keelah Rose, and I'm an American teacher who grew up in California. I graduated from Cornell University (an Ivy League school) and received my teaching credential in 2006. I have been a certified teacher ever since! I have lived and worked as a classroom teacher for children and teens, and an adult business English teacher in countries such as China, South Korea, Albania and Poland. I have a very easily understood accent with no traces of any regional dialect. I also have a background in performance, comedy and presentation -- so these are skills I can easily help you develop. I specialize in improving pronunciation with a lot of useful tips and tricks to sound more like a native speaker. My classes are fun and enjoyable and I love to bond with my students. However, I am also a perfectionist because I want my students to be the absolute best they can be. If you are looking to absolutely perfect your English skills and really improve your skills rapidly, then I am the teacher for you!

Let's knock this out of the park! My name is Flo, I am bilingual, a native speaker of American English, and a language instructor with eight years of experience. As a multilingual globetrotter, I am passionate about travel, language, and culture. Besides being an online teacher, I am also a freelance writer. As a language instructor, I have helped students with no knowledge of a language become fluent within six months, but I've also helped many advanced students reach a higher level of fluency. I have worked for language centers and corporate clients such as Berlitz and IBM, but I've also done a lot of private tutoring with students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. I'm a certified Berlitz instructor and I focus on immersion to teach my students the target language. I take pride in being able to help my students identify core issues and become confident English speakers. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, I look forward to helping you improve your fluency and reach your language-learning goals! I can help you prepare for English exams such as TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS, help you write an excellent resume and prepare for job interviews, or work on business skills such as networking and negotiating. Once we have had our first class, I will send you a detailed analysis and lesson plan. From there, you will receive a pdf document with notes on grammar corrections, vocabulary, idioms, and pronunciation after each and every class. By taking notes rather than interrupting you while speaking, I will help you develop fluency while still offering thorough instruction on how to improve your syntax, word choice, and intonation. I look forward to meeting you!

I have a Masters degree in teaching ESL (as well as a Masters in city planning from Harvard) and also work as a speaking rater for TOEFL iBT. I have taught university-level ESL for a number of years, with almost a thousand students of all nationalities, from beginners to advanced. I would describe myself as relaxed, encouraging, and sympathetic. I home-schooled my own three children from kindergarten through high school and I believe a stress-free, happy, and enjoyable learning environment keeps students motivated and enthusiastic. I specialize in teaching speaking and writing for English language tests. I focus on the specific skills you need to get good scores and I give you plenty of practice during each class session. My availability is limited because of my TOEFL scoring job and other tutoring jobs. If you would like to schedule a lesson when I am not available, message me ... I may be able to work you in! Because my teaching hours are limited, PLEASE schedule your lessons ON THE HOUR (meaning, for example, at 9:00, not 9:30). Otherwise I will ask you to reschedule a half-hour earlier or later. For lots of articles about grammar, vocabulary, and other topics, read my blog at http://eslbootcampglobal.com/blog/ *** I started teaching ESL to foster understanding and better relationships among people around the world. Therefore, I strongly object to the policies of our current U.S. President. ***

Hello everyone! Are you Advanced or Upper Intermediate? If so, sign up for a trial lesson. I am TESOL certified and have more than 10 years of teaching experience in the United States. My main focus is on speaking and helping you to be more comfortable, confident, and fluent with your words, and test prep. So if you want to become a better speaker or need test prep help, then schedule a trial lesson asap. If your focus is speaking for business, test prep, or interviews, I can help! I like to make my lessons laid back and conversational. I will not constantly stop you when you are making mistakes because that is exhausting for you, and it will NOT help you become a better speaker. Speaking is very natural, and ALL native speakers make grammatical mistakes when speaking, yet they are still fluent and understood. Sign up for a trial lesson now for more information. Please read on for important information: First things first: if you are a beginner student or a child, I am probably not the best teacher for you at this time. My focus is on Middle Intermediate and Advanced students. **Also, Please schedule a TRIAL lesson FIRST so we can get to know each other. Also, this allows you to make sure that I am a good teacher for you. Check my calendar for availability. I love learning about what you have been doing to this point and what your ultimate goals are. The trial lessons are a perfect opportunity for me to learn more about you so that I can create a learning plan just for your needs! *Please note that if you DO NOT cancel your class at 12 hours BEFORE it begins, you WILL NOT receive a refund. If you cancel more than 2 lessons, I will not agree to work with you.** ** I do not correct your writing work outside of lessons unless you have pre-arranged this with me. **

I originally graduated from Boston University with a Master's Degree in Engineering; however, later on, I found my true calling in teaching English. For the past six years, I have been working as the Director of Education & Cultural Development for the Colorado Rockies. The position entails the implementation and coordination of the educational needs for all of the Latin players signed within the organization. It was my job to create an education curriculum to address the needs of the players and help them obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma. The primary responsibilities include the recruitment and training of teachers, professors, psychologists and educational facilitators from diverse areas as well as implement and oversee the high school/GED program for the academy. The duties also include mentoring the players, especially those with learning disabilities and help them develop their critical thinking abilities. I have spent approximately 15 years as an English Instructor and Professor. I have worked at various international institutes as well as local and private universities teaching Advanced Physics and Theoretical Mathematics. My areas of expertise in regards to ESL are vocabulary, accent reduction, reading and listening comprehension as well as in depth knowledge of American customs and culture. Teaching is my passion and is undeniably the most important job I've ever had in my life. Please feel free to reach out to me. I am always available to teach new students and I'll try to make it worth your while. Take care!
