Common Mistake: Using 'I' and 'me'

месяц назад
Jean and me will take care of it.  (Incorrect)
Jean and I will take care of it. (Correct)
Give the project to Jean and I to take care of.  (Incorrect) Give the task to Jean and me to take care of. (Correct)
This is a very common mistake even by native speakers. Many native speakers tend to think another person and "me" (or "me" and another person) is always incorrect. They will always use "I" when including themselves with another person. Though this may sound fine, this is not always correct.
A good trick for remembering which is correct is to remove the other person’s name and decide which sounds right. For example:
Give the project to I to take care of. – Wrong Give the project to me to take care of. – Right So, ‘give the project to Jean and me to take care of’ is correct.
Me will take care of it. – Wrong I will take care of it. – Right So, ‘Jean and I will take care of it’ is correct.
